Zac tho

Did no one watch the new episodes? Lol...

Anyway ...I can't believe I'm about to say this but...okay Zac to me just seemed like a perv. Porn/sex/online addict or something. And he just used the fake profile to get sexual attention/photos/pics of as many women as possible. And seems to spend like 24/7 at his perv game. Which is skeevy.

Even so....maybe after watching so many seasons...I just found it harder than usual to totally sympathize with the women who were fooled. Why send videos/photos/all this to some "hot" dude on tinder anyway? Am I missing something? Of course it is wrong to lie to people and pretend to be caring and empathetic. I guess that's the terrible part about what he's doing. And usually I "get" that but for some reason in this episode it was harder for me to be on board. Maybe it should just be a general rule of thumb in this day and age not to send nudes/sexual stuff to someone you don't know. I mean hell, even someone you do know might use it against you. But online there is ALWAYS that hint of "this might not be who I think it is." Even back in the 90s, there was the notion that you think you're talking to a teen but it's really a 50 year old perv in a chatroom.

Eh? And I'm not knocking the value of online friendships and all. I've met two people who I'd only gotten to know online (not romantically, but friends)...both were who they said they were and all that. Nothing fishy, all checked out...so I'm not saying it's NOT possible.

So being a chronic liar and sexual perv online isn't admirable or good, however...maybe people need to be a little more careful about who they talk to, too. God I hope I don't sound like one of those blame the victim either. I just found this one a little iffy.

And Zac, if he stopped acting like a perv and was more of a nice/confident guy, he could probably get a real girlfriend. He was kind of cute (in the sense that, his "need" to make a fake hot profile to get any attention seemed off kilter to me). Just stop pervin lol

I have to say I agree with you. I don't get the allure of sending nude pictures to a virtual stranger, but even if I did, no way in hell I would do that in this time, I don't care how hot the guy is lol. Between catfishing and people hacking your phone and the Cloud, you are just setting yourself up. Not a smart move.

I also agree that Zac is kind of cute and probably could get some girls interested in him if he would just be himself. I guess he wanted girls who he thought were out of his league, and I'm sure he loved all the attention and all the nude photos and whatnot. He was obviously not at all sorry for what he did. I do feel bad for the girls that got hurt, but as I have never used the internet to look for companionship, I guess I just can't relate to people getting so close to someone they have never met in person.

Strange times we live in!

I agree with all that you said about sending nudes to strangers. This guy seemed like maybe a sociopath or something devoid of feelings. But the girls are at fault for trusting a total stranger as well

reply

There's something wrong with that guy. I bet when he's not lying to someone online he's jerking off while rolling around in piles of porn, he's such a *beep* creep it's actually scary. He's like serial killer/sexual predator level scary. Seriously, does anyone else agree with me? To me he is skeevy as all hell. Seems like a sociopath-no emotion, no remorse, nothing. You can tell he gets his jollies off from doing that crap to people. *shudder*

reply

I could definitely see him on the news one day. He seems like the type of creep that would have corpses in his basement. He's already a predator looking for naive women to send him nudes (I don't believe he quit like he said he did). And he didn't have any remorse or morals. How long before the pictures aren't enough for him?

reply

Yeah, perhaps I was being too easy on him in my original post. For sure he didn't seem remorseful. And the fact he even was kind of cute (thus no need to resort to such measures) did show it was more about just some kind of high he was getting off of doing it versus out of desperation. I was thinking more like porn/sex addict, but, having the chart with all their names and statuses ...maybe he liked the "game" too.

I highly doubt Nev and them erasing his profile will make him stop.

However I did also find it difficult to feel sorry for the girls in this episode.

reply

Was it just me or did the blonde girl seemed more mad at the fact that he wasn't hot like the guy in the picture? Something she said really threw me off. Like when the creep was trying to excuse what he did and she said something like "you're not him though" as if it wouldn't have been as bad if he was hot. Anyway, I think the girls are partially responsible. If you're worried about nudes getting out, don't send them. I wouldn't even send them to a guy I'm dating because I would expect them to be online if we broke up.

reply

I got a flicker of that too. Once they were looking at his Facebook profile (Zac's)...that's when suddenly she was like "That's disgusting." Like, it seemed disgusting that HE was doing it, versus Lucas. But I do agree that it's wrong to toy with emotions like he was doing, too.

So I get what you are saying WaningMoonMange....

I JUST went on about him in another thread! That dude was bonafide grade-A creepy perv. WHO keeps vids and pics of all these naive girls he's conned? His demeanor was telling throughout the situation and he was completely callous. That was also a stupid cop-out he gave for his actions. I can see him becoming a predator, if he isn't one already. I HIGHLY doubt he stopped doing what he was doing and he probably just created another profile under a new name and picture so what was the point of Nev changing the password, putting up Zac's real picture or having him delete it (I can;t remember what he had him do). He looked like such a goober.

That dude is still perving around the internet.

I have EXORCISED the demon

reply

Won't be surprised to see him on the news when the police will find out he's a serial rapist or something. The guy is a total sociopath.

reply

Honestly I didn't feel bad for any of the woman. I thought Zac was a lonely guy not getting any sexual attention, so he thought if I was some sexy guy ladies would love me. So he puts all of his real information and the only lies are that he's going to relocate and he's Lucas. So all these ladies "fall in love" with Lucas for his picture, but claiming because it was his personality. So Zac doesn't feel bad about any of this because these woman are so shallow, they wouldn't give a guy like Zac a chance because he isn't super attractive, but are head over heels with Lucas even through they have the same personality. And I love how the woman were like he tricked me into sending nudes! They obviously sent them because they wanted to. And I highly doubt Zac will never catfish again!

reply

Zac appears to be a true sociopath. He honestly didn't "get" what he did wrong. The women were dumb, I mean, if "Lucas" had such an online presence, with so many photos and even videos, then he could have video chatted. Zac was smarter than the women, he used bait who was so attractive that hundreds of women fell for him. The guy was just that hot that the women thought it was worth the risk. I don't believe for one minute Zac will ever stop what he's doing. He will just be even smarter after being busted. He let down his guard with a couple of the girls and that won't happen again.

My biggest question is who is the real guy? Why no mention of his feeling on being used as bait for literally hundreds of catfished women? Why did the production not even mention him?

As "fishy" (ha ha) as this show has a reputation for being, it seems they would have made some kind of effort to tell the audience about their attempts to contact him or not or why not.

reply

I agree if women or anyone want to send naked pics to people go for it but there is always a risk that the person is not really who they say they are or a risk a guy can send the pics to other people so don't cry and claim you feel violated when you willingly send out pics to a guy you never met in person.

reply

Could you send me a naked pic? I'm a beautiful 23 year old female model.
