Catfish concept is weak now

Enough people still seem to fall for it though. I just can't believe how many people are so incredibly gullible and stupid.

True, like 7 or even 5 to 4 years ago not everyone had that stuff webcams and microphones were accessories you had to purchase separate from your computer and better quality ones costed more but now that stuff is in all laptops tablets and phones so there just isn't any excuse for it anymore. You just have to be in hardcore denial to accept excuses like that and sadly it seems like plenty of people are or at least pretend to be for the MTV cameras.

Dude not having a webcam or phone didn't fly when Catfish the movie came out. It's people who are so into someone they can make themselves believe bullcrap make believe.

It never worked for me.

You can't afford a 20 dollar webcam? That's not the kind of person you probably want to be with anyways. if you love someone, you make the effort. You make the effort to call, text, buy a webcam, write letters, send packages, and eventually meet them. If you don't, then you like the idea of a partner and not the reality.

Catfishing will always be around though. There will always be people with a hole in them and the need to catfish people. There will always be people who are pretty average and want to believe that some hot guy or hot girl actually wants them. Catfish will always exist whether this show is on or not.
