The Leuh/Justin episode almost had me screaming at the TV...

I don't think I'd ever been this frustrated or exasperated at an episode. Leuh was so painfully stupid and Justin was such an obvious player. The second she admitted she was getting a ton of tattoos because of a guy she never met, I was beginning to wonder how she was getting into college in the first place...

Justin had an almost-logical answer for every question Max threw at him, and I could tell Max wanted to trip him up. I was actually disappointed when he pulled back at the end when he said he didn't know if Leuh was being naive or not.

Most of the catfished are kind of stupid by default, but Leuh seemed like such a sweet and naive girl that I wanted to protect her. I mean he was talking to three girls at one time, and he basically straight up admitted that he didn't tell anyone about her because he was embarrassed. Thoughts?

reply

Ugh I agree! I could slap her. He obviously didn't want to be on tv cause he didn't want the other girls he was talking to to find out!!

reply

Yes I've been a fan of the show since the 1st season and this was easily the most frustrated I've ever been smh.

I'm pretty sure that he said the same things to Jamie as he did to Leuh. He was so full off *beep* with the 'didn't want to do Catfish because it would ruin things' between them.

Give me a break. He just didn't want to meet up with her. And she is stupid enough to move to California just for him.. Even if they actually become a couple I am sure he'll have someeone on the 'side'.

I get that this girl is insecure but there is a difference between being gullible and insecurity.

I doubt the OP js jealous. That is just silly and weird to assume.

Boredom is bullsh#t.

I wanted to slap the people who named her Leuh.

Speaking of them, they're the reason Leuh isn't handling the real world with more smarts. They didn't teach or how to tell if someone is lying, how to build her own self-esteem, and probably indulged every whim she's had. If Leuh just reufed to listen to them, they created the environment where Leuh is used to not listening to them.

Now she is an adult with child-like ereactions oto predatory people. I hope she doesn't end up in a string of emotionally or physically abusive relations becuause of her need to please and alter herself to fit the needs and preferences of any man that shows her attention. I'd hate to see her on a future episode of Forensic Files.

"Leuh" looks like "duh" as in "duh, this guy is playing you." She is so oblivious.

That bugged the crap out of me too. Sometimes I wonder if sometimes the parents named them and spelled it properly but the kid decides to informally change the spelling on their own, just to be unique...but ends up looking stupid.
I once saw someone spell Kelly (or other normal variations) Kelleigh. I think these high school age girls just do it so they stand out.
I remember one of the catfish in an early season spelled her name Jesszica, or something stupid like that. It didn't even make sense "Jess-zica"

The Leuh spelling is bothersome, we used to come up with these alternative spellings at work like Jeffrey being spelled Geophurry or Jephrie.

One summer we hired seasonal help, except we ended up with a lot of Erik/Eric's like 8 of them. Simple enough right? Gonna be with a C or K, no biggie... No we had 4 with alternative spellings Airick, Ehrick (I suppose this is supposed to look German?) , Erick, Ericke (you need that last useless e). I still remember when we had to get Airick for something we'd always call him Eric with an A.

I hate the name Leuh. Parents take plain names and spell them differently just for attention. It's prevalent out here in Utah. They have the plainest whitest names, but they spell them differently just for *beep* and giggles.

Leuh was painfully stupid. Not surprising because of the way her parents spelled her first name.

Justin is just a player and didn't want to get caught.

Boring and frustrating episode.

reply

Yes, to spell Leah as Leuh, you have to be pretty pathetic.
