Is it just me or was that really unrealistic. I noticed a lot are saying it was hard to watch but there was no terror in it. The guy was so calm before it happened then he just sat there and took it with out struggling or flinching. I thought the end scene with the flask was worse.

He was barely conscious and had resolved himself to death ("send my things to Michigan"). Plus they did have him restrained (they were holding his arms).
