Idk if it's due to the low speaking but did they answer anything? They sorta have him a face but not showing who or what his human forms face is is a disservice to the audience

I think they were playing into the fear that the demon could be any man. The films started out trying to convince the audience that they were real. This is just a remnant of that even though the audience knows better.
