Terrible movie, worst ending since Dexter!

I generally* like the "Paranormal Activity" film series, and was looking forward to this one. Of course I was afraid that they would only tie up some things and leave most other questions unanswered, as these movies are prone to do.

But I did not think it would introduce a crapton of new questions, not answer any of the real questions, and what it did answer, it did in a manner which came across as fan fiction.

This reminded me of Dexter, where the two final seasons also came across as fan fiction due to the marked shift in tone from what came before. I never thought anything else could retroactively ruin something that started out so good, but lo and behold, this dreck did it.

Oh, and the brother Mike? The retard pornstached idiot?
He annoyed me more than Jar Jar Binks, and destroyed the movie even before the ending did.

Terrible movie. Would be merely bad if it was to be followed by another, but if this really is the end? Terrible movie. Unworthy conclusion of the series.

*hated the time travel in "The Marked Ones", they nearly lost me there.

Dexter did not have a terrible ending, if you allow yourself to use your brain instead of following people like sheep

Yes...Dexter did have a terrible ending.

First four seasons were perfect then it went down hill.

100%. After the John Lithgow season, Dexter the show was dead.

I think they tried to answer them to the best of their ability but couldn't achieve it 100% without hurting our brains without the influence of Chris Landon, why couldn't they get him to direct this one? Gregory Plotkin didn't truly know the story as well as Chris did, he was just the editor of the series.

Aw, I liked Mike, he brought humour to the film, made my theatre laugh at least.

The ending of Dexter was very painful, just when he stopped killing for pleasure and he finally had the chance to have a new life... then Debs is shot and becomes a vegetable, but I guess that was the message of the show, could a killer like Dexter truly get a happy ending? I honestly enjoyed every season, I liked seeing Debs character develop from falling in love with her brother, traumatised to seeing her brother kill for the first time, no longer in love with Dexter and becoming aware that Dexter has killed since Harry was alive, guilt ridden for killing LaGuerta and hating Dexter for being forced to choose him or her, then she becomes so scarred after hearing that Harry committed suicide after seeing the monster in Dexter that she would drown herself just to kill Dexter, Debs and Dexter finally start coming together and realize that they are a family, but the end of Debs makes Dexter convinced that no one is safe with him around and goes into the storm at the Ocean but survives and is a logger who never got his happy ending with Debs or Hannah and can never see his friends again, it was powerful.

It was confusing, but I think it was representing how the Coven can go through doors through space-time and visit previous events if need-be, I'm not sure why the witches were at Katie and Michah's house at the end of The Marked Ones, probably to oversee Toby's work and get guidance from him, but it's very confusing because it made it look as if Jessie and Hector were there at the night of Micah's death even though Micah's death took place WAY before The Marked Ones which occurs in 2012 I believe, Micah's death took place on October 9 when Hunter was abducted.

But the questions that were answered include this.

Hunter was needed to join his blood with Leila's as they were born the same time

Adult Katie is no longer useful to Toby after moving the Fleeges into the house and Toby probably left her body

During 2011-2012 the Coven rebuilt a new house over Katie and Kristi's house

After Hunter sacrifices Alex and completes the ritual in 2011, he is most likely taken to 1992 via portal to prepare for the blood ritual that will bring Toby into the world

After Paranormal Activity 3, Katie and Kristi are trained to use their 'abilities' that they didn't even know they had, to bring Leila who hasn't been born yet but her existence is known of by Toby because he can see the future, from 2013 to their time via portal and trance state

After Hunter and Leila are together, the Coven get their blood and bring Toby into the world, Toby goes back to the portal to Leila's bedroom

The Coven wipe Katie and Kristi's minds and plant false memories, then burn the house down to destroy the evidence of everything that happened but the tapes are saved

Nonetheless... We need the Directors to explain it better than they did in the actual ending, it just creates an infinite loop.
