Is this non canon to the franchise?

When you think about it, all the film covered was just Hunter's disappearance and
Katie and Kristi after the ending of 3, there was nothing even remotely related to the Witches making a deal with Toby, which was the main mythology for Toby's story and why Hunter was even needed because he needed Hunter in exchange for the wealth and fortune passed onto the family tree, but they completely scrapped it all, took away Ms Katie Featherston, turned Toby into a 'Hollywood flick' cliché Antichrist plot point that hates Holy Water and his whole ultimate plan of Hunter and Leila's birthrates were a cliché
666 plot element that almost any 'Hollywood flick' has done.

It really feels like this "Finale" was illegitimate and we truly never got the ending promised by Chris Sanders, Anyone else feel the same way?

Plus if this all happened after Paranormal Activity 3, the other movies couldn't of occurred because the other movies follow after wouldn't have Toby trying to get what he wants when he already obtained it during the girls childhoods, it BREAKS the whole timeline.
