I love how the Dad and the blonde kept asking questions...
And then minutes later what they were asking actually happens.
THIS AIN'T REALITY TV!!

THIS AIN'T REALITY TV!!
It was so obnoxious and annoying, the previous families were far more believable in their acting, this one was just always going 'IT'S TOBY' or 'WE HAVE TO FINISH THIS' or more cliché dramatic phrase.
The blonde could have made fart noises for the entire time she was on screen and I would have been happy to watch her.
She was so hot it made watching this dumb-dumb movie worthwhile.
Change doesn't always make things better...it only assures things will be different.
But that's not the defining part of the movie, well, it had NO defining parts, but the previous casting was attractive but they also had good acting, and good acting does not mean 'inserting cliché dramatic phrases' every second in an obnoxiously annoying manner, it doesn't even hold a candle to the performance of Katie Featherston being dragged out of the bedroom and into the hallway screaming bloody murder.
The previous families had quirks and flaws that made them relate-able to the audience, they acted like real families that were being haunted by a demonic entity, even Katie and Micah, didn't force it, just acting like average people, this family? didn't even show any kind of emotional stress or tension that starts to rip the characters apart emotionally, something that is organic and manages to 'immerse' us into these character's lives, hope for them to make it to the end, it's very unfortunate but not a big surprise.
