What was the point of making 3-5 found footage movies?
The main problem I've had with every one since the first, is that they are holding cameras often completely without explanation or reason.
You can say I'm overthinking it, but no, sorry. They're supposed to be found footage films, and in the first one there's good reasons why they've got cameras set up, and they create a decent script surrounding reacting to the cameras being there, and there's never really a scene where a camera being held is not really explained or out of place.
Every single PA movie since then has had far too many scenes where holding a camera was completely NOT what someone would do and gave no explanation in the script why they were taking a camera around. It's just lazy writing.
