I'm a Christian and i hate this movie.

It only got to the cinemas because Nicholas Cage is in it. The acting was horrible. The director did not push those actors hard enough so they were able to get away with drab performances. This flick looks more like a TV Movie.

Seemed fine to me. Would have been nice if there had been a plausible explanation for the disappearances though.

Aliens, maybe?

"God did it" is the explanation they were going for. To make the disappearances ambiguous would probably make the film even less of a religious film.

It was the Dark from Vanishing on 9th Street who did it, its Croatoan all over again.

I'm a Christian, but I didn't hate it. I just thought it wasn't very good. I do think it is slightly better than the original Left Behind movie.
