I've heard the film contains a scene where Scott Adkins' character is interrogated/tortured in tribute to torture sequences from 80's action movies ("Rambo 2" etc.). Is it true?

There is a scene where he is torched with an iron. But it is not as well executed as the legendary scene from Rambo II..
