I think this movie should be a top contender for the oscars but the TV rating on Netflix is throwing on me off does anyone know?

It could be a contender. Paul Rudd and Craig were pretty stellar and it could be nominated for best adapted screenplay.

There was a major part in the novel near the end where I feel like it could've been Paul Rudd's time to shine to cry but unfortunately the film doesn't even show it. I'm curious if it'll be a deleted scene

Yeah that's unfortunate that it didn't get a theatrical release. I think if it had a limited showing it would've sold well
