Missing scenes?

I watched the original trailer before the film and I noticed several scenes from the trailer aren't in the film.

1:54 - JR being chased by the police.

2:01 - JR being shot at by a cop.

2:06 - JR running into the shop.

I don't recall any of those scenes in the film. Did I miss something or were they cut out?

Trailers do that all the time.

They do?

Maybe the parts cut will appear as deleted scenes on the DVD or something.

No not usually. they just stay on the cutting room floor. it does make you wonder sometimes though.

It happens all the time. That's one of the reasons I never watch trailers. Trailers lie.

I saw a trailer in the theater long before the film was released that showed JR and Tasha fleeing the police by jumping into a kangaroo pouch which then hopped away to freedom. Apparently Australian criminals get away from the popo this way all the time.
