New generations will never know that, in this movie Snoopy is a cute nice dog, good loving friend to Charlie Brown, children will think is another kid and his dog pal. Its a cute movie, But in the comics Snoopy was mean and didnt even knew his name "that round-headed kid"
I wouldn't say that Snoopy didn't love Charlie Brown, but I have to agree with you about the comics. That is a problem that I had with the movie, though I really enjoyed it.
In the comics, Snoopy is very self-centered, and quite disrespectful towards Charlie Brown. Snoopy really lives in his own world, and everybody else, including Charlie Brown, is a supporting character. In the movie, Snoopy is there for Charlie Brown when he can't gather up the courage to approach the Little Red Haired Girl, and even comforts him. That is not the Snoopy from the comics. Snoopy from the comics was more prone to rolling his eyes.
I really would love for the sequel to be more about Snoopy and less about Charlie Brown. That self-centered beagle living in his own world is far more fun for me.

Really?
A couple of things;
1. Snoopy and Charlie Brown don't exist in real life.
2. Snoopy always showed affection for Charlie Brown. Of course there are strips where Snoopy is seen messing with Charlie Brown. There are also strips that show Charlie Brown messing with Snoopy.
But there was always affection displayed between the two characters. That affection can be seen in the strips. That affection can be seen in the TV specials. That affection can be seen on greeting cards and in promotional material.
Snoopy and Charlie Brown have always had an affectionate, playful, and friendly relationship.
Of all the links you posted there are only like 2 comics strips, the rest is random art (i know its official, and yeah i already saw them hugging before. They aren't enemies) but if in 17,897 peanut strips you didnt find much love between them, pretty much proves my point. There is affection but very rare

Seriously?
I posted examples from a variety of media. I didn't go through strip by strip because that wasn't necessary to disprove your silly claim. One strip and one strip alone would be enough to do that.
The examples posted don't prove your point they completely invalidate your point.
I trust you are aware that I could easily post many, many more examples of strips wherein Snoopy is showing affection for Charlie Brown.
I trust that you are also aware that in the 17,897 strips that Snoopy and Charlie Brown only appear together in a fraction of those strips.
Your claim was flat out factually wrong.
And, incidentally, of the links I posted four of them are examples taken from strips. Not two. Four.
You seem to own a medical degree in Peanuts, theres no point in arguing with you. But you will never understand how important this claim is until you get a selfish beagle... that doesnt loves you.
I enjoyed what the last poster linked to and can truly say that Snoopy and Charlie Brown have almost always respected and loved each other. ADDITION as of PRESIDENTS DAY 2016: The thread title SHOULDA been [note caps] "Snoopy DIDN'T LOVE Charlie Brown in real life WITHIN THE COMIC STRIP" not "Snoopy DIDNT LOVE Charlie Brown in REAL LIFE (only)" .

It's symptom of Hollywood's love of sentimentalising anything to do with children ...if it's touted as heart-warming, it means the zest and zing has been drained from anything original ... the only exception I can think of is Addam's Family Values, a great, sharp and funny family movie.
