Demon baby saying "Papa"...really? Felt a little more X-Files than found footage horror.
It felt so over the top and unoriginal, i already saw blood puking zombies in 28 Days Later.
Scary movies get to me, especially found footage ones. The first VHS freaked me out, but not a SINGLE story in this one scared me and im not even entirely sure why, I wanted to like it. Did that happen to anyone else?
I liked the gonzo nature of some of it. I sort of liked the first v/h/s. The wrap around story in that one was really creepy & the first segment with the banshee they picked up @ the bar was pretty good. After that to me it went downhill. This one I really enjoyed all the way through & the 'compound' segment is the big highlight with it's nasty all pervading atmosphere of constant dread. The 'Alien Abduction' sequence I enjoyed more than the 'Alien Boyfriend' of the first & really felt like a throwback to a Spielberg sci fi film from the 80's. And agreed, zombies are played out these days no doubt, but I thought the first person perspective was fun & the birthday party crashing hilarious.
