So the 'Greys'... *SPOILER*
When the blond chick was trying to climb the stairs at the barn, one of the greys catches her and bites her neck? Was I seeing that correctly? Since when do aliens bite? LMAO!!!

shareThey were zombie aliens to add to the spooky.
shareIt's a bizarre convention, but certainly not one that's limited to V/H/S 2. Aliens are very frequently portrayed as using their claws and teeth to attack. Examples include Altered, Falling Skies, and of course the iconic xenomorphs from the Alien franchise.
It's peculiar to see beings who can transverse galaxies needing to resort to their bare hands and teeth as a means of combat. But it's a technique used to make the creatures more primal and frightening, and it's often used to keep the creature more grounded in sci-fi films that are trying to appeal to a more to every day fears. It's not realistic at all in a literal sense, very much the opposite. But the idea is, it'd feel more cheesy to the audience if the aliens bring out a bunch of particle beams and crazy tech, the less space tech you introduce the more relatabe it'll be.

This movie was so random, nothing made sense...
