After watching this movie, I feel the first story is very similar to the movie The Eye starring Jessica Alba. Also, the third story about the Indonesia cult is also similar to the Japanese game Siren, where in that game Hisako Yao, the leader of the local religion, tries to resurrect or re-awaken a god through a ceremony. The people that died are also reanimated.
Anyone else agreed with me?
That story did remind me of The Eye, but not the Alba remake. American producers, wanting a quick buck without doing any actual writing took Asian horror (like The Ring,) and set about remaking every popular film. They always ended up as soulless copies that the critics tore apart.
I never got to play Siren, but it sounds interesting, and I'll look into it. The segment reminded me of Doom 3, Rosmary's Baby, and some real cults, like Jonestown, and Heaven's Gate.
