About the wraparound story.. Possible spoilers.

So, since this flick came out I've probably watched it 4 times, and it wasn't until I just re-watched it that I noticed that the kid who shot himself said in his tape (right before he actually blows himself away) that "most of you know my mom, and she totally supports my decision." It's obvious throughout the short that he's talking to an audience of other like-minded ppl, who are into these weirdo supernatural tapes that scramble your brains lol. I guess before I never really thought that much about the short, didn't think it was that great, I obviously understood that the kid was into that stuff, purposefully made himself into a zombie (or whatever the heck they become) and that the girl was made into one too either cuz she shot herself or Mr. Half-Mouth did it while the other guy was gone. Although I really think she did it to herself.. Anyway, now realizing that the mother actually sent those PI's over there, knowing or at least suspecting what would happen, that's pretty twisted... And it ties into the wraparound of Viral too, as far as people wanting the "sickness" to spread... I suppose you could say the original too, as someone hired those thieves to go in and retrieve as many tapes as they could find in that guys apt.

This isn't exactly brain-busting knowledge I know lol, but it gave me a more positive perspective on Tape 49.
