The Safe Haven segment should've been a full length movie

Without a doubt, Safe Haven was the best segment in the entire film. In fact, Safe Haven was so good, that it could've been a full length horror film. Such a shame that a great idea had to be condensed into a short time duration. But still, for it being a short segment...it was really brutal.

Cut the excessive gore , the demon and you have a possible decent story I think.

^ No way. The excessive gore and the incremental weirdness is what made that story. No point to making it full-length without that.

I think it could work, but I wouldn't want it as a found footage film. in VHS 2, it was absurd how the main characters would have a camera strapped onto them when they were walking through the hallways. I know it's for the benefit of us viewers, but it just didn't make sense that there would be any camera capturing this footage.

Agreed. If the found-footage element would've been excluded, and if Safe Haven was filmed in a normal manner, it would have made an epic horror film.

Indeed, there's a found footage horror movie about a team making a found footage horror movie (no kidding). And there's a conversation in the movie about the problem of justifying why people are still using the camera.

Their solution was the ghost could only be perceived through the camera.
