His daughter's singing lessons... What happened?

Didn't he take his daughter to learn how to to sing at the end of the first film? Wasn't that her ambition? Why wasn't this mentioned again in the sequels?

That's why the first film should have been left as a stand alone film. It was perfect as it is and how it ended. It was getting worse by each new film getting made.

Nothing is what is seems.

I don't think the personal life and ambitions of the daughter are the main focus of the movies.

I get your point, but this is a film about protecting your family and risking everything for that. My point is: This was never planned as a trilogy. The first film was perfect as it is and what it was. Bryan rescued his daughter unharmed, bad guys are eliminated, and everybody got what they wanted and back they're back home safe.

The singing lessons was a nice gesture to end the first film, and the whole story.

Nothing is what is seems.

She was a young teenager. All kids want to be stars. It's not something you bring up when you're grown up.

Maybe she realised that singing was better for her as a hobby than as a proffesion just like 99.9999999% of the people of dream about becoming a popstar

It wouldn't be realistic if she turned into a popstar in the sequels that'd just be a little too much

Nobody reads books anymore! Movies are always better, especially sequels 

reply

Yeah, she decided to get knocked up instead.

Yep, the 2-backed monster was killing her singing career.

I know. If I were him I'd be like "why the hell did I save this bit##s life? So she can give up her dreams to be a pop singer and become a mom?

reply

Went in the same direction as Holly Valance's singing career it seems. ;-)
