Unrealistic.

I'm sick of movies showing someone escaping a police arrest because the police do it incorrectly.

Haven't these Hollywood types ever watched Cops, the TV show? If two cops are arresting you, well first of all, they shoot you when you approach them before you get close enough to disarm them or physically assault them. You're standing over a dead body, and then come at them, they shoot you.

But furthermore, they don't have you get on your knees to cuff you, you get all the way on the ground, fingers laced behind your head, feet crossed, some other stuff. I'm no expert; this is just what they do on Cops to keep the guy that they're arresting from spinning around and doing Kung Fu. You might spin around, but they'll have time to shoot you.

But, let's say that they have you on your knees and one cop gets close enough for you to spin around and knock you out, or whatever. The other cop is not going to be close enough for you to knock him out, too. He'll be standing at a distance, shooting you.

I hate the knee stance police arrest in movies!

I realized that the movie wasn't going to be very realistic after that.

You understood it's a movie and yet you bitched about it not being "realistic"? It's *beep* action movie!! Why the hell would you expect anything close to reality in a *beep* action MOVIE?!

They should have stayed away from him until he was lying on his stomach on the ground. I have faith Bryan could have still taken them down with extreme prejudice.

Indeed. There's no need to create contrivances in order to let the hero win. I'm sure there's some way to get out of being arrested without the cops being stupid. It does happen in real life.

These other clowns on the thread seem to think that its being a movie means that reality can go right out the window when the opposite is true: The more fantastic the premise, the more grounded in reality it needs to be. Any idiot knows this.

The whole point of the scene was to watch this badass clobber a couple of cops, and what we got was a scene showing that the writers just don't know what to do. So lazy.
