Lollapalooza problem

When the group is at Lollapalooza trying to decide who go band to go see next Quinn comes up with the idea to check Instagram. This is a minor problem. Seeing as how they are in the past the photos of them at Lollapalooza would not be up for them to see what they are going to do next as they would have to been uploaded to the internet. Seeing as how they have not even seen the next band yet the photos do not exist for them to have been uploaded. It's possible that he could have saved them to his phone prior to traveling back to the past but that requires him having knowledge that they were going to be heading there before they went, which it seems he did not seeing as how it was intended to be a surprise by David.

I thought exactly the same thing when he said that. It seems like too obvious of a mistake, so he must've had the information saved on his phone somehow.
Perhaps there was a scene (which was later cut) that had him mentioning something about how he was disappointed about missing the festival and had gone online after to see all the great stuff he had missed.

David's sister may have downloaded the pictures. There's a scene early in the movie, when she does just what you describe, she laments that she couldn't attend to the party, while watching photos about it on one of her friend's phone. It's the scene when the guys are watching the old video in the cafeteria.

On the subject of cell phones:

I don't think the service provider would take it well when there are two/three/five instances of the same SIM cards using the network at the same time...
