I'm watching it in parts

Couple of things I've noticed about my film-watching experiences in general. One is that I've become extremely hard to intrigue/enthrall/surprise. (You should see my ratings histogram: huge spike to the far left and right, almost nothing toward the middle.) That probably has to do with the large number of films I've seen, along with it being hard for filmmakers to avoid cliche without diving into absurdity. The other thing Is that my impression after watching a film partway is often greatly different from my opinion after watching the whole thing: usually (though thankfully not always), I find that film endings tend toward suckiness. I assume that's because it's easier to create interesting situations than resolve them.

Anyone empathize with this?

So I've decided that it would be good to comment early on while watching the rare films that interest me. Then later as well--if I think I have something to say then.

At this point I've stopped watching where there's been a huge time shift, and she's entered the subway car. I've really enjoyed the film so far--and I'm generally not at all a big fan of films with wacky fantasy premises. I've watched the first part twice, in fact, picking up on and enjoying all the small clues, whose meaning I don't fully understand yet. That knowledge should be highly valued yet so is frequency (the meaning of which I don't fully understand yet) are impressive concepts to try to reconcile. The subtle facial expressions, when juxtaposed with ones that are so extreme that I find it hard to accept that anyone in that world buys (even though frequency supposedly has a druglike effect that I wouldn't be expected to appreciate anyway). The "Spock/Data conundrum of why she should be motivated to do anything at all without emotions. Why high frequency people, so far, don't seen to gravitate inevitably to evil.

Anyway, I thought I'd write that now, because I can't see, given the situation so far, how this film can possibly fail to disappoint me as it progresses. We'll see.

Addition after watching: I was, as expected, disappointed at the remainder of the film. I think it's about as good a film as could be made if one were forced to accept the fantastic premise and general outline. Still, where the premise took me was too far for me to accept without reservation. And despite what the couple accepts, I find the ending depressing.

im getting really tired of movie companies passing of chick flicks as sci fy.i know they feel that they can boost profits, but in the end all they do is piss people off.im now very much afraid of getting burnt by being hooked into seeing a movie that really isn't what its billed as.and there is a lot of it going on.
