Egyptian Gods Were White...
People have complained how Egyptian Gods were portrayed as white.
I am pretty sure there were whiter Egyptians a long time ago. The White Egyptians found each other and kept marrying one another. Since they were the minority, and rare, other Egyptians elevated them to positions of power. That is how those White Egyptians ended as Gods.
Have you not heard or read the phrase "in a land of blind people, the one-eyed person is King?"
For the same reason. He/she is rare. Therefore, others select him/her as leader. Or he/she elevates himself.
