Still worth seeing for its visual effects?

I know Gods of Egypt sucks, but what about its special effects? Are those at least worth checking out?

The visual effects are actually a reason not to see this movie. They're very, very, very bad. We're talking dawn of 3d gaming cutscenes bad. And it's edited poorly.

But to me, Gods of Egypt is super entertaining because of just how trashy and horrible it is. So if you're into campy stuff, get it from a redbox or something.

Aww, even the visual effects were bad? Previews didn't show them bad. I guess they only showed the good parts. :(

I would say the visual effects were reasonably good. Not groundbreaking by any means, but enjoyable.

That's an odd question. It shows that you already decided not to like it, because you heard someone else say 'it sucks'.

That said, the visuals are alright, though people seem split on how good the CGI is. To me, it was kind of video game-like, about on the level of The Mummy 2.
