For anyone who has seen it, what is Emily's role in this & is she any good? Thanks!

Watson plays Lady Mansfield, the wife of the judge/great-uncle/family patriarch who fulfills the "father" role for the girls -- that is, Dido and her cousin.

Therefore, she performs the role of "mother" to them.

And she's fantastic as always; I have always loved Emily Watson.

Oh, Inspector Morse! What big blue eyes you have...

She was great as usual she was a mother figure to Belle/Elizabeth. Belle even called her Momma Mansfield.

Was Emily Watson any good? That's like asking if milk comes from cows. She was wonderful, as always!
