Eli has completely lost his way.
This is a product of a director that has clearly lost his way. Not that he ever was a master of cinema, not that he is going to be remembered in 100 years, but this movie stands out as a piece of garbage compared to his other works.
Sometimes success leads to destruction. After you become somewhat famous, especially in an art form, you start to surround yourselves with “Yes” People. And you start blocking any critical thinking. That’s the perfect recipe for bad art. And its probably the recipe for The Green Inferno.
