"I need a bathroom" and the movie as a whole *Spoiler*

"No no no!" Tense music. Aw, the horror! The indigenous children start to laugh and wave their hands in front of their faces. SOoooooo stupid. I started off liking this film, but this scene was just so dumb. They'e in a cage. In a f'ing jungle. Someone gets dhierraea. It's bound to happen, and they would know it. And they've just watched their friend get torn up alive. And THIS is a tense moment? Give me a break. And the children acts like western kids. So out of place

Another stupid scene and the following:

Girl being so disgusted by eating human meat that she kills herself, followed by making the cannibals high, followed by them getting the munchies. It's mundane and poorly written

Then all that getting close to the children of innocent BS is so not believable. They are living in this world, and would see this as natural.

Her not wanting to rescue that creep was a good chill and made her character questionable.

THen it got anticlimatic with the soldiers shooting down the villagers, but it fits with the story of white men interferring with the indigenous population.

Then she was totally into the cause and stood up for the captors. She believed in potecting the cannibals out of a higher thought of protecting indigenous people, and protecting the families with the kind children and all that. A strong move for someone watching their friends get captured by these people, I give her that. But the ending in the credits, with the satelite image of the creep was too much. So melodramatic and weird. Maybe the children saved him, but it feels weird.

In the start this movie wanted to be Cannibal Holocaust 2, but it turned out to be Avatar meets Jesus with the innocent children. Utterly stupid imho

I'm pretty sure the diarrhea was supposed to just be some brief, gross comic relief

I am with you Vargstra!

After watching someone torn apart, diarrhea would be the least of my issues.

Heath Ledger Come Back,
This isn't funny, at all.

Wow... You're pretty stupid (or a troll), aren't you? She killed herself because her girlfriend had been killed, you total moron.

CG gore is the worst thing that has ever happened to the horror genre.

The diarrhea scene was meant to show how inhuman the kids were being treated. They were like pigs in a pen, forced to wallow in their own poo.

"Girl being so disgusted by eating human meat that she kills herself,"

That's not why she killed herself. She killed herself because she knew there was no escape and it was just a matter of time before she was killed in a horrific manner. Killing herself was a way to end it quick and (relatively) less painful.

followed by making the cannibals high, followed by them getting the munchies. It's mundane and poorly written

Yeah, that was pretty lame, especially the idea that a small baggie of pot was enough to completely stone an entire tribe in the open air.

Then she was totally into the cause and stood up for the captors. She believed in potecting the cannibals out of a higher thought of protecting indigenous people, and protecting the families with the kind children and all that. I didn't like that ending, either. There clearly are native tribes in the Amazon who are not cannibals but this tribe was unique. No reason to protect them to protect the Amazon as a whiole. Furthermore, if Justine was as vapid and naive as she was portrayed the whole movie, there is no way she'd be "smart" enough to tell this lie to protect the greater good.

But the ending in the credits, with the satellite image of the creep was too much. So melodramatic and weird. Maybe the children saved him, but it feels weird.

I disliked this as well but theorized that Alejandro was a consumate "survivor" so he figured out a way to "survive" his circumstance with the tribe, and then elevate himself to a person of status there. it is completely absurd, but I think that was the thinking.

Just a quick correction, she killed herself because of a combination of finding out that the girlfriend she thought had gotten away and was her last hope had been in the dish she was eating and hopelessness. And being In the open air had nothing to do with it. They basically turned their friend into an edible, which while it would give a much more intense rolling high, I doubt there was enough to stone all of them.

Shows how little I know about pot consumptions. I assumed the premise was the smoke got all the natives high. Never thought about the edible part.

So the activists were told by Alejandro they were eating pork scraps when in reality they were all eating the blonde girl with the tattoed skin...

...and to think that I was confused about what the tattoed skn was doing there positioned under the pork scraps as some additional base to the cup... :D :D :D

reply

Apparently some people were confused. I got that right away that it was her girlfriend's tattooed skin at the bottom of her bowl. The kids were playing with the other pieces of tattooed skin.

Get away from her, you BITCH!!!
