they had no business killing and eating some of those people. what an evil group of murderers
sharethey had no business killing and eating some of those people. what an evil group of murderers
sharereally good movie by the way
shareI don't get why this got so much hate. Just got done watching it...it was horrifying. I think Eli Roth did a fine job here. Many are saying it sucked. But why? It was scary and realistic and even more than most horror flicks because cannibals actually do exist. I liked it. Not enough for repeat viewings, but I liked it nonetheless.
shareyeah it seems realistic and its full of suspense to. its just a scary beautiful looking movie
sharelol it's not realistic at all. But it is pretty brutal and has that sort of "raw" quality that I like in horror.
I liked it a lot myself.
It's more realistic than you think.
The world's most isolated tribe, the Sentinelese, shoot and kill anyone who comes too close to their island with arrows. In one encounter a group of fishermen in a boat got too close to their island and two of them were killed. When the authorities tried to recover the bodies of the fishermen, they were attacked too.
Basically anyone who gets near them gets turned into a pincushion.
There are other tribes who are just as hostile to outsiders, and experts say even the most isolated tribes have at least some concept of us -- people who live in civilization -- because they've heard stories from tribes who have interacted with regular people, or friends of tribes who have.
realistic lol did u took some of this pot from this movie bcs this can be only explanation how can this look realistic to u :)
shareBy realistic I just meant that cannibal tribes do exist on earth. It is possible to encounter them. Not probable, but definitely within the realm of possibility.
shareThe anthropologist Michael Rockefeller was eaten by cannibals when he visited New Guinea in 1961. The British anthropologist and explorer Redmond O'Hanlon also writes about meeting cannibals in his books - INTO THE HEART OF BORNEO, IN TROUBLE AGAIN and NO MERCY - which I strongly recommend for laugh out loud British eccentricity at its best.
shareLol, "pot from the movie" :)
shareI think because of the ending is why it got a horrible rating.
The acting wasn't that great either especially the friend in the beginning.
I was thinking the same thing. I would love to be part of a team that goes in there with M4's and flash bangs and start killing these subhumans.
State champ in martial arts, trained with firearms, I eFF'n dare you!

I too wanted to see them all killed off, because I love pay-offs because well... they pay off. :D
shareGiven they have no modern medicine and they would have been exposed to modern bacteria from meeting and eating westerners they have a good chance that they will all die out anyway.
To make a great film you need three things - the script, the script and the script -Alfred Hitchcock
I see it all the time in real life. A bunch of do gooders leave civilized countries and decide to change the world and make it better. Stay home and don't go mucking around in a barbaric country. I did not feel sorry for them.
BLACK FLIES MATTER
NO JUSTICE NO PEAS
It was good in my opinion not much wrong except some odd plot conveniences
