Poorly executed adaptation and ending discussion.

I haven't read the book, but I felt it ALOT that this was a bad adaptation. It's choppy and clumsy and some parts are very heavy handed and other things are just glossed over. Overall I thought it was very "unbalanced" if you can say that... It takes a great director to do it right I guess, and Gillian Flynn needed Fincher to do her justice. Gone Girl was a perfect movie.

How did Libby find out that Polly killed her sister btw? I get that she realized that she was there that night and wasn't being honest about that, but nothing else pointed to her having killed someone.

She knew Polly was there when she saw her mother's necklace at Polly's. The one her mother swore she's "never sell."

Yeah but she could've just snatched it off the dead bodies. The brother was protecting her anyways, he could have taken it and given it to her even.

Yeah but, Polly outright told Libby that she wasn't there that night. She said Ben went to his house, and she waited for him because they were going to run away together, and she thought he stood her up. When Libby saw the necklace she knew that was a lie.

I have read the book, and the movie's about 80% faithful, but the climax is better done in the book. In it, Krystal says something that makes Libby realize that she had to of read Michelle's final diary to know that.
