I would have cast Clea Duvall or Judy Greer in the role. I think they fit her description better than Christina Hendricks.

Judy Greer would have been good, though a little too on the nose. I think it's gonna really gain Christina Hendricks a lot of respect for playing such a non glamorous role. She really gives it her all.

Seeing Hendricks in makeup, etc., for the part, I think she is perfect. Pretty but worn-out and damaged, just as she should be.

I just watched the movie ( I live in France) and Hendricks is a good choice .She's credible in mother of 4 teens and pre-teens.
I'm more so-so on Chloe Moretz's choice but I dislike Moretz's acting usually

French viewer here as well. I thought Hendricks was fantastic and I usually find Moretz awful in everything.

For what it's worth, my jaw dropped when I saw her name after-the-fact. No type-casting issues for her; wow. I went back and re-watched several of her scenes and still struggled to "recognize" her.
