Why kill the youngest daughter???

Patty decides to hire the 'Angel of Debt' to kill her and make it look like a murder so that her insurance money could be used to save the farm and her children could have a roof and money to survive.

So my question is why was the younger daughter killed? Was it cause she had seen the killer and he HAD to eliminate her?

Or was she killed cause the Angel of Debt is a mentally unstable killer and just killed her? If so why does he not kill the other kids in the house? He just walks away.

In the book it explains from the Angels point of view that she came out and saw him and tried to save the mother so he killed hdr. He describes how he waited at a bar earlier and hears Runner talking smack about Patty so he decides to stab her in the chest and make it look just enough like Runner did it to make him sweat. But Debby sees what happens so he has to kill her and when Patty tries to save her he has to shoot her and the scene becomes a mess. when he confesses, the Angel says Debby'a death is the only one he regrets and he was physically sick after he killed her because he never wanted to kill a child. Hope that helped!
