Is this right?
Mother could not pay her bills. Sheriff gave her the idea to hire this guy to kill her and make it look accidental/murder so she could get money. But then what was all that stuff going on at the end when the showed the murders? The mom calling 911 or trying. And was that guy trying to kill them, but then the pregnant girl actually killed them all? It was very confusing.
The mother hired the hit man for herself for insurance. One of the daughters saw so he killed her. The other sister was killed by Ben's psycho girlfriend and Libby lived because she hid. So there was two killers on the same night not one.
shareBasically. The boom is a great read! Although now you know the ending so it might not be. You get a lot of thought out of the characters that is totally lost in the movie. She actually says in the book that it would be the Day's crap luck to have two separate killers in one night.
