"Making a Murderer" and this
Did anyone else think of this when watching Making a Murderer? So many uncanny parallels. Not just the "wrongful" conviction and the real killer free but also an insane, unexplainable murder that the Kill Club would have theories about. It almost feels like that's the real-life story Dark Places is based on, only if both Ben and Libby were convicted of the murder. I guess Steven Avery would be Ben, with his prison groupies and all. Bobby Dassey as Trey Teepano who everyone thinks did it. Now we just need a real life Diondra to confess. I also am reminded of the detective saying over and over "Tell the truth now Brendan, what really happened?" and in the book, "You must remember, remember, remember Baby Day!"
