Literal adaption flaw


This movie has alot going for it. I went straight out and got the book. The problem with the film is its plot developments on screen don't seem plausible. But on the page it reads brilliantly. I think it was Kirk Douglas who once said a movie cannot be a literal translation of the book source. As for Gillian Flynn...she's awesome can't wait for her next book.

Agreed. This is one of the worst adaptations I've ever seen.

I completely agree. Not only were the events unbelievable in the film, but the tone was just not as it should be. Also, Charlize Theron's Libby was way too unlikeable. I felt sorry for Libby in the book but in the film I thought she was just being a bitch for the sake of it.
