Just read the book
Haven't seen this, but Charlize Theron is far too glamorous to play Libby Day.
If at first you don't succeed, you're not Chuck Norris

Charlize is one if the few actresses who likes make gerself look less glamourous on screen. As she does in this film. And others like Monster and Mad Max: Fury Road.
shareDon't worry about her looking glamourus in this movie She wears a baseball hat through most of it and can hardly see her face
shareWere they planning to sacrifice Ben's pregnant girlfriend in the novel? Or was it a red herring?
shareShe was very unglamorous and stripped down in this flick,---hell, she was even far less glamorous in MAD MAX:FURY HILL. I figured that it would be good because she usually picks challenging, gutsy roles to play in thoughtful, interesting films like this one. I remember it came out around the same time as MAD MAX last year, but it got virtually no publicity, and I don't recall playing at a single theatre near me. It is one dark and disturbing film, I can tell you that.
