Just finished reading the book and i am hesitant to watch the movie
I mean right off the bat, while Theron is a good actress, casting her as Libby is just poor decision making which makes me wonder how questionable the overall production values might be.
The director's previous work isn't that encouraging either to say the least, he seems inexperienced compared to David Fincher who is a very competent director and undertook Gone Girl, which most likely succeeded to convey the essence of the book on screen (haven't read the book yet).
Then we have the imdb rating and metascore both indicating that i am most likely correct in my assertion, that the movie must fall in the mediocre spectrum.
