I just got finish with episode four really enjoying the series but I can't for the life of me remember which of the characters is Malcolm can someone help?

Malcolm was the Developer who Hattie forced to go bankrupt. He hanged himself at the end of Episode 2 - But the reason is unknown? Was it because of his loveless marriage, the fact he was bankrupt or because he was involved with Linus & his online porn site?
He was the developer, not the surveyor.
