I'm not a DirecTV subscriber, but it's also not on cable, Netflix, or Amazon Prime, or even YouTube (for free).
Is there any way to watch this for free without going to some shady bootleg site that will probably give my computer a virus?
Not that I know of to be frank. Even on my well known private site this season has been a struggle for whatever reason to acquire. Dupe episodes and non HD versions. What is this 2005? Pain in da a$$ to see and this season is the best one. Go figure.

shareI subscribe to another cable provider, so...obviously, changing my subscription to DirecTV just to watch this one show is not an option.
They put the seasons of FNL and Damages that they produced on NetFlix pretty quickly after they aired, but Rogue's first season isn't even available anywhere.
It's not available to rent on DVD from Netflix, so unless you can find a DVD rental store that has it available, you'll have to buy it on DVD from Amazon or buy it from Amazon Instant Video. It's pretty expensive to buy it from Amazon Instant Video, but the DVDs for the first two seasons are reasonably-priced. You'll have to wait for the third season to be released on DVD, or you can pay an arm and a leg from Amazon Instant Video. Or you can get yourself a VPN and an account with a trusted private torrent site. As far as I know, those are your only options, unless you change your mind and switch to DirecTV so you can watch the entire series on demand.
