Will this be available in the USA?

I would love to see this. Will the producers make it available to us in the US?

LyonME - if you want to watch British crime dramas, you should forget about the very mediocre "Shetland" and track down some of the really good stuff instead... I'd highly recommend "Sherlock" and "Case Histories"... I've never warmed to "Inspector Morse" or "Lewis". But, "A Touch of Frost" had a similar style and was always very watchable... Even the pleasantly average "Scott & Bailey" is better than "Shetland"... "Spiral" (French) and "The Bridge" (Danish / Swedish) are also well worth watching and "Inspector Montalbano" (Italian) is very likeable, if a little lacking in excitement.

I'm sure you have found a way to watch this by now. Sherlock is fabulous, as Badger has pointed out. Case Histories is very good. I've warmed to Inspector Morse, although I never really gave Lewis a try. A Touch of Frost was good. Scott & Bailey? I know nowt. Spiral? I know nowt. The Bridge? We're talking epically good! Montalbano - good also. If you're one of those American/Canadian/other Anglophones who don't mind subtitles (rare, I know) give Il Commissario De Luca a try.

I actually WANT subtitles . . . where can I watch this? I don't find it listed for iPlayer.

Just bought the first two seasons collected in one case at Barnes and Noble yesterday. It never aired on PBS here in Oregon and it's not on Netflix at this time.
