#ReleaseTheWhedonCut

This is mostly just a joke considering Whedon has been in some hot water recently, but based one how successful the Snyder cut seemed to be for Justice League, I'm curious what Whedon's true vision was for Age of Ultron considering he mentioned studio meddling and how he had to compromise on certain things.

It'd be interesting to see, but personally I like the one we got just fine.

I think it'd basically cut the stuff with Thor and the pool.

My understanding was that Whedon was annoyed at the writing stage with them making him include certain plot arcs (like with Thor), not just in the edit. I get the impression a "Whedon cut" would need to be re-written (if only slightly) and re-shot at points.

Not against it, mind you...

Yeah I mostly heard to keep the farm stuff, he had to put in the Thor vision stuff even though he didn't want it.

His own cut may not change a whole lot like the Snyder cut did for JL, but I'd be interested in seeing the difference and if the movie would be better for it.

I suppose if Whedon thought there was enough call to do a director's cut I'd be curious to know the differences, but I haven't watched Ultron in an age, so I'm not sure I'd really appreciate it.

I feel like Age of Ultron fell victim to being the sequel to the more popular movie at the time in The AVENGERS

To me, it felt very much like more of the same. While that was still good - I don't regret going - it also didn't feel quite as fun or interesting. Still a lot of great moments, but that was when I started to feel the Superhero Fatigue that's so popular these days. MCU felt very "samey" after that.

So, yes, I think you're basically right there.

The problem with AGE OF ULTRON is that it's a sequel to a movie that did it better and will always live in that shadow
