The Avengers Asian scientist friend.

Yeah, I know she's a version of a character from the comics, but does anybody else find it weird that the Avengers suddenly have an Asian scientist friend that isn't really introduced, she just shows up like she's always been there, and is never referenced again in any of the movies?

Kinda like BruhMan in the old Martin series. Dude would just pop in through the window like he owned the place...Martin and Gina would come back to find him in the apartment, sitting on the couch, eating food from their fridge, all like "What's up?" What are you doing here?!? "Nuhttin...just chillin'" lol Never explained, just pop in to set up a certain scene, then amble on out....

No.

You mean Helen Cho, who was referenced in Doctor Strange ? No, not weird at all.

I get the feeling that the fact that she's Asian bothers you, am I reading those emphases correctly ?

Nope. We've seen a grand total of what about 10 hours of each character? Or less in many cases. They have likely had conversations we haven't seen and since most humans on Earth know more than 5 people I think it's entirely logical that every film will include characters we haven't seen yet but whom familiar characters already know.

Banner is world-renowned as is Stark. The fact that they've had contact with other leading minds in the world is actually very logical. Banner wants to help people - his own history includes trying to use gamma radiation to help people before his accident.

And yeah, there hasn't been any occasion to refer to her again really (and she's mentioned in Doctor Strange). Would you expect her to play a role in Civil War? Why?

Reading my signature constitutes admission that I am correct. (Too late)
