Both involve desperate people hurting themselves and others for money they need for one reason or another but Would You Rather had more interesting characters and a more involved premise.
Would You Rather was awful, the acting, dialogue, everything. The only good thing about that film was the ending because it was so sadistic. This was a far superior film, the acting was much stronger, the relationships were better, the gore was more cringe-worthy.
Both films are great! I loved Cheap Thrills I also loved Would You Rather. Both movies had GREAT acting! 13 Games Of Death was good, but the ending was DUMB!
I don't think you understand the words you use... The characters in Cheap Thrills were MUCH more developed than Would You Rather. Every person in WYR is a one-dimensional representation of a character type. Boring, chess pieces that represent The alcoholic, the hot bitch, the good girl, the old lady, etc. etc. Those characters weren't developed in ANY way. The acts they had them do in would you rather were also so boring and repetitive. It was such a watered-down train wreck of a film. Without Jeffery Combs, it wouldn't have any redeeming value. The challenges were lame, the characters were underdeveloped and predictable, and the storyline was weak.
Cheap Thrills succeeded in every way that Would You Rather failed. Better storyline, much more interesting characters, pitch black humor and and it was just an overall more enjoyable experience. Would you rather is so middle of the road and pedestrian. It was forgettable, Cheap Thrills was not.
Nice. Hanging out on message boards of films you don't like, just repeating comments you already made with nothing to back it up or adding anything to the discussion of any kind. Way to contribute. Ill be sure to take your opinion seriously...
