By the end it's obvious they pegged from the start to kill one another.. so if he just left instead of coming back.. what would he have done.. say cut off your pinkie then cut off your arm then cut off your leg? lol.
shareThey probably would have messed with the other guy some more, tricking him into doing something fatal or the would have killed him as the bet would have messed up, as the grand prize only went to the one who survived the night alive. If one guy quit and went home, the other didn't technically win.
It's all really a game to where nobody wins. The idiot friend was killed. The nerdy hipster guy wife's snitched on him and that's his fate. The sadistic couple would have eventually gotten acaught as well.
