Many many plotholes

Right after Tim is released, from the mental institution, they're in a restaurant and Kaylie gives Tim a check, telling him its his half of the estate?? What estate??

Another plothole: they survived the attack, or whatever, from the mirror, that killed their parents. Why the hell did Kaylie, who is rich (doing what??) buy the mirror and get it back??

They made it!! Why not let go of the past?? Kaylie is directly responsible for Michaels death, her own death and Tim getting locked up again.

Why was Tim accused of killing the parents? Clearly a little boy couldn't have chained his mother and made her eat pottery. And why was he locked up all of those years? Didn't Kaylies eyewitness account tell them he was innocent??

Why did Kaylie just let her brother rot away in a mental institution for 11 years??

Why don't Tim stay clear of Kaylie once he realizes shes's still obsessed with a past that locked him up for a murder he didn't commit?

Why the hell didn't Tim and Kaylie just ran away and called relatives who could come pick them up??

Why is Kaylie telling Michael to call her every hour to check on her, in case her brother snaps, if she believes her brother is innocent?? And yes it's personal you bitch!!

How can an ugly child version of Kaylie with pale skin and orange eyebrows grow up to be a beautiful woman with dark eyebrows and different eyecolor???

I could go on about how stupid this movie is. I actually enjoyed and uit was scary but just entirely too many plotholes.

Not for the house but their parents money and anything sold off after their deaths.

She didn't buy it, she worked for the auction house that sold it and "borrowed" it before it was to go to the buyer saying they were sending it to fix the crack. She's had a house and her parents' money all these years, put herself through college and was engaged to what seems to be her boss. Maybe not super rich but wealthy enough.

Yes, she blew it. They underestimated the mirror. Perhaps kids aren't as effected by it. As soon as she woke up in front of it with the kill switch about to come down, she should have called it off since that's how it would get her in the end. But she had some need to prove to the world that her father & brother were innocent.

Tim was thought to have killed his father only due to the gun fired in his hand (residue). The father was thought to have killed the mother after abusing her. They were probably sympathetic to little Tim as he was defending himself and his sister. But still, a kid killing his own father meant going to psych evaluation. Unlike most movies, even a justified killing doesn't mean you walk away without anyone taking a good look at you. Kaylie probably went with the self defense story as they wanted to keep the mirror a secret so as not to sound crazy. Yes, Tim said the mirror did it as he was carried away but later he and Kaylie probably switched to what the authorities assumed had happened.

What could Kaylie do about it? How could she get him out without blaming the mirror? Tim fired the gun, the father really doing it can't be proven.

Tim was obviously not going along with Kaylie's plan at first. He tried to convince her she was wrong. They have a bound after what they went through, he's not going to just walk away & never talk to her again.

They tried to get help, the mirror thwarted their plans. Maybe they had no nearby relatives. Or none at all since Kaylie went to foster homes after the murders.

That's what she told Michael, the truth would make him think she was crazy.

Blame the casting director. No uglys you grew up with turned out hot?

For reasons unknown....I resume....

Good dismantling there. None of those are really plot holes. All are either explainable directly from the movie or through common sense.

This is the only thing I disagree with you about.
I think that Tim did try to blame the mirror for a while and this is why they concluded that he needed treatment in a psych ward. Later he changed his story but the doctor said that he still believed it on a subconscious level until he had a dream where he completely accepted responsibility.

There is not one plot hole on your list, it's just that you're not very good at interpretation.

or paying attention.

"Worthington, we're being attacked by giant bats!"

Those are not plotholes.

You did not understand the movie. It was far from flawless but you are wrong on pretty much every comment you made and demonstrated a clear inability to comprehend what was actually happening in the movie.

I would say my memory is not what it used to be. But I don't remember what my memory used to be.

The only thing this post has established is that you have no idea what a plot hole is.

This is just a whole lot of yelling and no making sense. As others have noted, these aren't plot holes.
Also what kind of *beep* calls a kid ugly? You get she's a real person, right?

Both actors have green eyes. At first, I was bothered by the eye thing but there's a close up of Gillan showing that her eyes in fact are green. Maybe not the exact same shade but that's just nitpicking for nitpickings sake. The skin tone and eyebrows. Dude, ever heard of make up?

It's not just that. Also, Annalise Basso wasn't ugly there at all. She's for sure not a regular beauty, but neither she's fat or has a dull face, instead she's rather pretty in a not so usual way. Apart from that I think her acting was good :)
