The movie opened here today. Went with 3 friends, and we all loved it.
I was weary going to see it but it was really good.
There was a LOT of laughter from the audience and everybody seemed to enjoy it (Some even clapped a few times and quite a few clapped as the credits started rolling).

I am usually not into this type of movies but this one won me over.

There's one thing from the trailer that didn't make it into the movie and that's (spoiler)
Zack shouting "Help" into the tie -I may have just missed it

I don't remember laughing this much in a movie in quite some time.

I think this is a crowd movie. .most critics watch alone so it may not land as well with them.

It quite is.
At the beginning of the movie you could sense people not knowing if to laugh or not laugh at some jokes, but once one did everyone joined in. Once he broke the ice everything became much funner and better, for me at least.

generic as in do *beep* that makes people laugh? so we should be less generic and use humour that only a minority get whilst still at least getting out of debt for making the movie? I can see a business flaw there. dont ask to go into business with me man but if you ever make your masterpiece let me see it, i might be one of the weird minority

Noooo, I go to critic screenings a lot and it's a combination of critics and regular audience. The first thing is most of the theater was completely empty so they couldn't even get people to see it for free and the crowd I saw it with maybe laughed 2 or 3 times but most of it was really unfunny and generic.

Yeah I thought that was an odd cut because I thought that trailer scene was hilarious. They showed that the mic was there but not him yelling into it.

If people clapped at this then you saw this movie with an easily pleased crowd. I see a movie every week and I've never witnessed people clap during a movie.

It's probably the area you live in, people clap all the time at theaters here in the southwest corner of Michigan.

I wouldn't call it particularly good, but it's definitely very charming and enjoyable. The script is very bland and a bit cynical, but the cast is fantastic and the visual direction is fun. I saw it for free earlier today (perks of working at a movie theater), and out of the maybe 10 people in the theater with me, everyone seemed to have a really good time. It'd make for a great "rainy day movie" when you're stuck inside and just wanna watch something fun.

I also like this charming movie quite a bit....my audience also laughed out loud a lot.

Maybe I need a light comedy...but this really worked for me and made me happy and smiling.

I agree
I didn't go for a drama movie (which I love watching), i went for a night out to the cinema with friends to watch a romantic comedy.

I am not into romantic comedies at all, But this one was great.

I agree.I expected a terrible movie after seeing the 19% RT rating but it was actually one of the funniest comedies I've seen recently,maybe a bit too long,could have been 10-15 min shorter but overall it was fun.
