Prequels (spoilers)
You know there's always the possibility of prequels
This solves the dead cash cow conundrum
Do you really think that the producers are going to stop making Bond movies? That was never an option. They will simply reboot the franchise with a new actor. While this isn't the most elegant way to end Craigs tenure it does at least close the door and put a stop to being sucked back into paying him an exorbitant amount for a sub-par Bond.
