I have an entire thread on this subject and the response from the other side is: "White men have dominated cinema for the past 100 years, its time for them to step aside and stop being so racist", I even suggested the very thing you did, just make another series with a black female agent superspy and the response was "Oh so the suggestion of white men is why can't they go find their own series". It's pure lunacy. Now I will maintain this position: If the best actor for the role is a black actor but he can convincingly portrayed James Bond consistently with the source material then I don't have a problem. I just don't want:
A) A black actor for the sake of having a black actor, that would mean the best actor for the role didn't get it
B) The series to reboot and starts focusing on a female agent, that would mean it's no longer the James Bond series and therefore we'd might as well just make a new series from scratch.
