With a title like 'Winter's War'....
you would think that the movie would actually have something like, oh I don't know, a war.

shareHow do you think the huntsmen conquered the various kingdoms for Freya? With parades?
shareDid you read the original post? They said they thought the movie might include a war since that's in the title. There were a few seconds of flashbacks to battle scenes but there definitely was no war portrayed in the movie. Yes it definitely was a very misleading title
shareHaha yes, I was waiting for a real war, not some little skirmish in the castle to end things. It could have been a lot more epic if there was an actual war between Snow White's kingdom and Freya's kingdom.
To me there was war. It doesn't have to be literal and blood shed and in your face. Freya waged war on that land for years. It was a war of winter. Not a war in winter. She refused to open herself or anyone else to love again and that warred with her nature. She raises children, whose parents she murdered to have, and sets them on a path where to love is against the law and their natural instinct. When one goes against what is natural to them, it is said that they are at war with themselves.
So I appreciated the subtlety of it. The subtlety of coldness, emotionless winter.
The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love..share
