Black people in EUROPEAN fairy tale HAHA

Well maybe they should have added some natives, arabs, asians as well at least make it properly diverse . So a northern European fairy tale has black people in it according to PC retards in hollywood heck in one scene the black kids outnumbered the whites lol. Even though this a fantasy film its still one that is written and set in northern europe they should be ZERO blacks there.

People in 2016 lose their *beep* if a white person plays a non white role while screaming WHITEWASHING,RACISM, WHITE PRIVILEGE but when non whites take white people roles is COOL, DIVERSE and MODERN.

1. There were black people in medieval Europe. The Moors, for example. It's not like people never crossed borders.

2. You said it, it's a fairy tale....with magic. You're twisting your panties over an imaginary story in an imaginary land.

3. You're an ignorant troll. Grow up.

4. Check your privilege.

A large income is the best recipe for happiness I ever heard of.

The moors have only existed for a short period in southerm part of iberian peninsula and were later driven back from the lands they conquered. Outside of mediteranean black people were a rarity and were almost exclusively merchants coming from southern countries.

And no, people didnt travel back then. Anyone that wasnt royalty, landowner or a trader most likely was born, lived and died without leaving his town or village. Easy travel is very much a modern phenomenon.

Oh wait, you just used check your priviledge unironically, your just a troll.

Much of southern Spain was Muslim for over 700 years!

It's that man again!!

Moors are not Negroes numbnuts! We are talking about sub-Sahara Nubians.

Did you do any research before posting this ignorant mess before you decided to come on here ranting or was the sight of Black people in places your racism doesn't want to see them just so bothersome you didn't care about accuracy?

You're so upset by the sight of some Black minor characters in this movie you decided you don't even need to actually know about history to speak on it. How sad you are. Blacks were lots of places other than Africa and then America after the slave trade.

reply

Snow white is a Germany fairytale set in medieval northern europe. The amount of black people in germany at the time could have been counted on fingers. They were either visiting royalty from african families or traders. The black slave trade was never a big deal in europe btw. We prefered white slaves from eastern countries. you know, Slavs, the ones we named the word after.

Yet the actors sound Scottish. I didn't hear any German accents in this movie. So if he wants to talk about accuracy he could start there instead of getting mad about the presence of Blacks. I honestly don't care about folklore and fairytale accuracy because they're fiction.

The only reason I mentioned the slave trade is because that seems to be the only way Whites can justify Blacks presence anywhere but Africa. I don't care that Germany preferred White slavery, it's despicable regardless so I don't know what you're trying to prove with that statement.

And even if the Blacks could be counted on one hand, it proves my point that they could still be there.

Bottom line, unless you're a historian and have the proof from unbiased sources that there would be absolutely no one of color in the area at the time for a fictional story, shut your mouth. You weren't there. I wasn't there so you don't know and you're just looking to start a fight because you can't stand looking at people of color in a world you don't want them in.

reply

Given that it is fictional story the authors and authors alone should have a say on the presence of skin colours in their story. And i mean the authors of the original tale, not the ones adopting it for the movie.

Secondly, given that white were enslaved for far longer and in far greater numbers than blacks, the black slavery argument needs to be shut down every time it pops up in these cases, hence me mentioning while slavery. If somone can only justify black presents by them being slaves then F that person.

Thirdly, buzz off with your passive agressive accuastions.

Haha......So upset over a fairytale.

its funny that people are taking a fairy tale and making it about race. ITS A FAIRY TALE. I had to look at OP comment history and it seems to me that he has a problem with other races and there need for political correctness. To each there own but if it bothers you that much then maybe you shouldn't watch movies or TV shows. Just poke your eyes out with an ice pick or something . Get over it. Life moves on and no one care about irrelevant comments such as your own and mine or for anyone else that matter.

reply

They shouldn't be speaking English either right, but the movie threw in multiple English regional accents. You should troll the boards of movies/shows based outside of English speaking countries, on why they're using English accents. You can start with 300.

reply

Well we are in 2016 and not 1850.

In 2816 someone will start a thread laughing because clones and hybrids are in the movie when they weren't in the dated original tale. And 3816 someone will complain that aliens have nothing lost in European fairy tale story adaptions.

Freya had her army travel far and wide to kidnap children and bring them back to her castle. It makes sense that they may have kidnapped black kids from faraway lands, even if they couldn't overthrow the rulers there.

Furthermore, even if this story was based in real history instead of a fantasy world, it is feasible that Africans would have been present in the southernmost lands of Europe, and therefore transportable to the northernmost ones. At the Strait of Gibraltar, Europe (Spain) and Africa (Morocco) are only 9 miles apart, and Morocco was historically a huge slave trading hub.

Generally speaking I do see your point OP, there is a double standard. But when it's fantasy roles in a fantasy world, does that double standard really apply?

Yes, I know. I like it that way. Makes me look the way I feel.

Your obviously one of those guy or gals that will believe anything your told. There's plenty of people not cool with non whites taking white roles. You must never go on any forums. Check out the Johnny Storm backlash or Perry White from Supergirl. No such thing as everyone being cool with it. You have your own mind right? and can navigate web pages I assume.

reply

The irony in saying when non whites take a white role it's cool as your saying it's not cool. Love it. Your a moron.
